A new version of Arc and Slice is now available to download. There are many updates in this version that we hope you’ll like, some of the key highlights include:
Support for Rollup (User Defined Consolidation)
Arc supports now UDC (User Defined Consolidation) in the cube viewer. When looking at a cube view, you can select elements and create a virtual consolidation on rows, columns and titles. This consolidation is calculated on the fly. This roll-up can be created in the subset editor or directly from the cube view with the right-click menu:

Executing your TM1py scripts within Arc
Arc can execute Python scripts and retrieve the results in a plugin. There are two main advantages of using Arc to execute your Python scripts:
-
Arc will share the session with your Python script (you don’t need to store the TM1 credentials in your script).
-
You can display the output from your script in an Arc plugin.

Introducing the MDX Lab
The MDX plugin has been replaced with the MDX Lab. In addition to everything the MDX plugin did, the MDX Lab introduces two new features:
-
Code Formater for MDX
-
Hit CTRL+SPACE to access MDX snippets and functions

and much more…
A complete list of all enhancements and fixes can be found in the Arc & Slice v3.5 Release Notes (v3.5.0.md).
